Arbutus Ridge Spring Wedding, Cobble Hill – Chad + Jennifer

Rain, snow, sleet, and windstorms all in the days leading up to Chad and Jennifer’s special day. The warning signs were there for an unpredictable wet and windy day. It was anything but. Blue skies and sunshine the whole day making for one happy couple.

Chad and Jennifer are environmentalists and fittingly met at a Sustainable Electricity conference where Jennifer’s company was hosting and Chad was an attendee. I was told that Chad was drawn to the ‘glint’ in Jennifer’s eyes, which might be why I ended up with so many beautiful closeups of the two of them. Apparently my camera was drawn to the ‘glint’ too!

It was so impressive to see how the day was built around their passion for the environment. Arbutus Ridge for starters provided a beautiful outdoor backdrop for their spring wedding. The natural elements of the outdoors were seen throughout their carefully decorated reception. Everything from birds nests holding Cadbury Mini-eggs (my wife’s favourite), to a varying selection of delicious pies stacked upon discs of tree trunks – checkout the last bunch of photos to see what I am talking about.

The day started with a ‘first look.’ The perfect meeting place on top of the bridge at Arbutus Ridge.
