Cody and Rebecca had an elegant, yet laid back wedding at the Filberg Heritage Lodge followed by a reception at Crown Isle Resort. Both places are relatively close to one another and offered us a spectacular backdrop for the ceremony + wedding party photos, mixed with great food and service later at the reception.
It was a blast getting to work with Cody and Rebecca again, since we had recently finished their engagement photos and cranked out a guest book just in time. They met on a surprise date, setup by mutual friends and claim they sang together from the moment they met. This brings me to one of the more entertaining and creative ways I’ve seen the order decided on who gets to eat dinner first.
Each table picked a song from a hat. All different and preselected by Rebecca and Cody to ensure they were entertaining and sometimes embarrassing. The tables with the most courage to perform karaoke to their song would go first. This entertained everyone waiting to eat and put the power to eat in the hands of the guests. My table claimed they “weren’t that hungry” when we drew “I’m a Barbie Girl.” Once everyone smelled the food going by we all got a little braver.
Thanks Cody and Rebecca for such a memorable night. I had an amazing time getting to know you two and I know Courtney had a blast with all your guests at the Photo Booth.
