I love getting the chance  to meet couples on an engagement session. When you think about it, other than maybe meeting to talk about wedding plans, they are letting me, a complete stranger, create images for them. Sometimes this first encounter is on the wedding day and I am always so taken away that a couple (and their families) are letting me in to this very personal event.  Other times I meet a couple for an engagement session 6-12 months before the wedding. In Leah and Layne’s case, we met 1 month and 1 day before their wedding day. Tomorrow I am off to shoot their wedding and I am reflecting on how easy going and trusting they were. It was a beautiful evening we had together at Pipers Lagoon and having had such a recent connection to the two of them I am feeling the excitement today.
