Milner Gardens and Nanaimo Wedding – Aaron + Sat (Nanaimo Wedding Photographer)

A couple months ago I wrapped up Aaron and Sat’s engagement session and after a great time I really looked forward to having a full day of fun with them. Aaron has the ability to make me laugh pretty hard since we both can be a little sarcastic with one another.

I started at Milner Gardens where I walked into a room full family and bridesmaids adoring Sat. They patiently waited for me to finish off with photos of her dress while my assistant that day, Courtney, took some amazing shots of the jewelry. All the bridesmaids in their bright pink dresses couldn’t wait to see Sat lace up her pink laces on the dress.

It is not unusual for there to be nerves at a wedding, but Aaron and Sat had planned everything so well and they knew how perfect they were for one another that it made for a very laid back day. They were way past ready to join hands in front of family and friends.

Following the ceremony we used the grounds at Milner Gardens for 45 minutes before heading to the Sikh Temple on Third Street in Nanaimo where there was a short ceremony and blessing. We immediately made our way to Pipers Lagoon with the large 12 person wedding party. Larger numbers always makes for some great group shots.

Their reception was carefully decorated with splashes of pink incorporated into everything making for a lovely bright atmosphere that turned into a night filled with dancing and Photo Booth memories.
